The birth of “Feeding the Frontline”

An Amazing God Story that Happened in 72 Hours

Cassandra Mays, owner of Salt Remedy in The Woodlands, TX, first noticed that area hospital emergency rooms needed food and meals for their overworked nurses, doctors, and staff. A few of her friends were seeking ways to help these working. They pulled together enough money to have food for 26 delivered from an area restaurant to Herman Memorial Emergency room.

At the same time, RLM was seeking ways to help the small businesses in the community especially, the local restaurant owners hurting from the shutdown and moving to take out only. Carla McDougal, the founder of RLM, talked with Sandra How, owner of Pie in the Sky in Magnolia, TX, about building a team of local restaurants to deliver food to these emergency rooms. Immediately, Sandra was on board. After these three ladies prayed together over the phone, Sandra contacted the local hospital emergency rooms. Because Sandra is a pharmacist, owner of Triumph Pharmacy in Magnolia, she has contacts at the local hospitals. Another example of how God provided all they needed to get this going quickly! The next day, Pie in the Sky provided lunch for 30 at Conroe Regional Emergency Room Hospital. Then she /.provided food for the rest of the week to area emergency rooms. People started hearing about this new group and wanted to donate to help with the food. As a result, we added this website page for donations. This all happened in less than 72 hours! We are giving God the glory for how He has provided ways for us to serve Him through these very uncertain and trying times.
